Billed 2 times and cannot get it fixed spent 3 hours on phone and customer service is NOT knowledgeable of their own software

Very very very poor customer service and pricing is almost doubled in 2 years. was automatically billed 2 times and was not able to get this resolved. Will go to my bank and have them handle this issue.

User's recommendation: software good tech support good, just hope you dont need customer service in billing.

Full refund for being double charged and a year added since I was doubled billed last year as well and just received an e-mail to get a free year for renewed

McAfee account locked

My McAfee account was locked due to too many failed payment attempts. However, my payment went through the last time. I do have receipt in an email to confirm. I was unsuccessful with contacting support on the phone. It is telling me my subscription expires in 2023, so my payment was successful. I need help with unlocking my account. If you could please get back to me with some help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, -Samantha Culp

COnstant seemingly never ending attempts to sign me to their plans,

I have attempted on many occasions to ask McAffee to remove me or unsubscribe me from their marketing emails to no avail. I tried to send them an email directly and that hasn't worked.

User's recommendation: Be cautious of signing up for their plans. If you decide to drop them, they send email request constantly!

4 hour wait time for customer service last time I called

Mcafee didn't stop a download of a virus that came in through the backdoor of a Office 365 download on my new computer. It took more than 4 hours to speak with someone

User's recommendation: check with customer service wait times with others at pissed consumer before buying.

I received an email from McAFee secure. They said that I if I wanted to I should cancel my subscription with them or be charged over 231 on my credit card. This went on and on until they gave themselves away when they asked to the CVS and buy five hundred dollars worth...

Updates are working havoc with my computer

After an update vpn didn't work for a week; then after an update my computer slowed down to a snails pace; then after an update I couldn't open .docx documents because virus scan froze them; then it was all okay. Today after an update I can't open .docx documents again. Why can't they insure that something works before updating? I have years with MacAfee and have always liked it before. I am considering changing now.

Horrendous customer service

Mcafee - Horrendous customer service
1) My login didn't work, 15 minutes after setting up the account. 2) Was advised to call to get it situated but was put on hold for over 78 minutes before being disconnected 2) Tried the Chat feature (had to wait 7 minutes for someone to respond) and then after 20 minutes I was told that it was going to be escalated. I was then put hold. After 10 minutes of no response I moved on and decided to share my experience with the world.

Subscription is not updated

Digital buy from Amazon on 5/22/21 doesn't work. My account at McAfee shows that I do not have any subscription.

Faulty Software and Scare Tactics Intrusions!

Yesterday, I renewed my subscription to McAfee for two years, and everything went fine, sign up, billing everything. Checked my setting tab and it showed 2 years! So did a complete scan and everything looked fine. But then I started getting notifications saying my computer was unprotected! So went back to my settings and everything looked good still. But I did notice that the original notification said it expired on June27, wh

User's recommendation: They use scare tactics to get you to renew! Tells you your computer is infected with a virus or trojan.

I know that McAfee overcharge for autorenewal so I searched around and found an offer on the McAfee site of £24.99 for renewal. I clicked on it and found I had actually paid £49.99 as it automatically renewed for 2 years. Ironically the down load comes with the heading. 'Thank you for trusting McAfee'. The one good thing was the cancellation was relatively quick and simple. Back to Norton!

I have found them terrible this year. The company seems to have gone badly downhill, they claim that they cannot give a refund until the subscription has run for 135 days, and that since I renewed on 26th November last year, only 60 days have elapsed.

This is Sunday April 11th, 136 days since I renewed, so that is a lie. The software no longer works on my Apple Mac, as Apple warned me it would not. Their response?

Nothing they can do, their engineer ducked out of the conversation and left me to it. Not impressed at all.

Poor Customer Support

Received my auto-renewal for two McAfee subscriptions. I wanted to cancel one of the subscriptions. Called Customer Support and while they were willing to cancel the subscription, they kept trying to upsell me on other services. I could not fully understand the agent and the products he was offering. I was adamant about cancelling one subscription and keeping the second. He persisted in "upgrading" my service. Finally, I asked to speak with a supervisor and told him I wanted to cancel everything. He did not connect me with the supervisor but cancelled the single subscription and let me go. I have used McAfee for at least 10 years and they lost all of my business in a 5 minute phone call.

User's recommendation: Do not use auto renewal and consider another security application.

Got cussed out by a mcafee rep

I have used mcafee before worked great till now called their tech support twice and then the second time I got cussed out by a tech support rep. bad bad service never again using this service company that just wants your money (I never cussed or used profanity)

McAfee Firewall version not keeping up with MAC IOS Big Sur Release

Updated my MAC to IOS Big Sur and then found out the McAfee Firewall Software will not work. After many hours and subsequent days, they still do not have a fix for a service I am paying for. They say they are working on a fix but are SLOW to have a fix. Very disappointing they did not work with Apple on a major system upgrade. They knew it was coming.
