My McAfee Firewall started to turn off and sometimes couldn't be turned back on. First approach via cat assistance seemed to deal with issue via remote access.
However, issue returned. Twice filled out details for chat assistance to report this. Twice got disconnected due to network failure - not that my Internet access had failed. Wasted about 20 minuted with this, then rang.
Told I needed to speak to special virus team. Transferred to be told by someone with hard to understand accent that the problem wasn't a virus, but due to a program interfering with McAfee. I would have to pay for the service.
Asked how he knew it wasn't a virus and received no satisfactory answer. Declined to pay and will remember McAFee's response come renewal tie for my security package.
